Like a lot of dramatic stories, this one starts with a couple in love. They’d just gotten hitched and were set to depart the next morning on their dream honeymoon to Bali. With their travel agent, a colleague of mine, they had planned for six months to make sure this was the trip of a lifetime.
For these honeymooning clients, she had booked ten incredible nights divided between the beach and a culturally-rich main city, complete with a private driver, 5-star resorts, VIP access to special honeymoon perks, and exciting excursions. For the honeymooners, this was not only a dream trip that represented a ton of planning time; it also was a significant financial investment that they had worked and saved for months to pay for. Getting organized can help you make sense of all the info out there.
It can help you move past analysis paralysis and start making concrete plans. Best of all, when you’re clear on what you need, you can start to get excited about the amazing trip that’s coming up instead of feeling overwhelmed and stressed! There are so many options for having a fabulous honeymoon, and my hope is that this list will help you narrow them down. As you make your plans for your destination wedding, honeymoon, or next getaway, the first thing you have to check is your passport.
Do you have one? When does it expire? If you have one, I’ve got the steps you need to follow to make sure everything is a go. If you don’t have one, I’ll tell you exactly what you need.

After all, while the wedding is mainly for your family and friends, the once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon that follows is a private getaway for you and your new spouse to celebrate your marriage. Though you may spend a portion of your vacation relaxing and reflecting on this major life change, the honeymoon is most of all an opportunity to enjoy being a newlywed, spending quality time with your new spouse, and experiencing a romantic and exciting getaway.

Anguilla represents the ultimate in escape from the ordinary, the opportunity to leave behind the busy everyday to wrap oneself in the very essence of relaxation. An increasing number of couples are choosing destination weddings over traditional "white gown and rehearsal dinner" weddings.
Destination weddings provide a fun opportunity to reunite family and friends in a truly amazing setting or to celebrate a private ceremony in an unforgettable locale. With destination weddings representing approximately ten percent of all weddings, it is easier to find more cruise lines and resorts offering robust and attractively priced packages especially designed for wedding parties. |
